DNC.com Integration

Updated this week

Note: This article references upcoming product changes and new features that may not be available for your account at this time.

Keep your outreach compliant and protect your business with the DNC.com integration in BoldTrail CRM.

Key Benefits

  • Stay compliant automatically — all phone numbers are checked against the National Do Not Call (DNC) Registry.

  • Protect your business from legal risk — Known Litigator numbers are fully blocked.

  • Save time — no need to manually flag numbers or double-check lists.

  • Respect consumer preferences — build trust with your leads by honoring their communication choices.

What is the DNC.com Integration?

The DNC.com integration automatically checks phone numbers in your CRM against the National Do Not Call (DNC) Registry and the Known Litigator list. This ensures you’re reaching out to the right people while staying compliant with federal regulations.

This means:

  • Agents won’t accidentally call or text numbers on the DNC Registry.

  • Known Litigator numbers are fully blocked to prevent legal exposure.

  • Compliance is handled automatically, saving you time and reducing risk.

How It Works

Every phone number in a lead’s profile—whether it’s added manually, imported, or submitted via your website—is automatically checked.

  • Do Not Call (DNC):

    • Automation (calls, texts, voicemail drops) is disabled.

    • Manual calls are allowed only if you confirm you have an Existing Business Relationship (EBR).

    • A log entry records the call for compliance tracking.

  • Known Litigator (KL):

    • All calls, texts, and voicemails are blocked.

    • The number must be removed before the lead can be contacted in BoldTrail.

  • Unrestricted:

    • No flags. Full functionality is available.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the National Do Not Call Registry?
The DNC Registry is maintained by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). Consumers add their phone numbers to opt out of unwanted sales calls. Calling these numbers without an Existing Business Relationship may result in penalties.

What is a Known Litigator?
A Known Litigator is someone on the DNC Registry who has taken legal action against organizations for violating it. To protect you and your brokerage, these numbers cannot be contacted at all in BoldTrail.

Can I override or remove a flag?
No. Flags from DNC.com cannot be overridden. The only exception is confirming an EBR when making a manual call to a DNC-flagged number.

Can I add numbers to Do Not Call myself?
Yes. You can still manually mark numbers as Do Not Call within BoldTrail. However, only the DNC.com integration designates Known Litigators.

What if I think a number was flagged incorrectly?
Numbers are sourced directly from the FTC registry. You can verify a number at donotcall.gov, but BoldTrail cannot change or override these results.

✅ With this integration, you can confidently connect with the right leads while avoiding costly compliance risks.
