What is RentalBeast?
Rental Beast is a real estate technology platform designed to support real estate professionals in growing their businesses and building a reliable homebuyer pipeline. The platform offers a variety of powerful features, including Apply Now, an application and tenant screening tool. The tool allows prospective renters to submit a rental application covering credit, background, and income verification directly on a listing page, and completed applications are reusable for 30 days across any Rental Beast-participating property.
Our integration adds a call-to-action button to rental listings on BoldTrail template websites. When a renter clicks it, they're routed through Rental Beast's application flow and the resulting lead is automatically captured in the BoldTrail CRM. There is no cost to the agent or brokerage, as the application fee is paid by the renter. Note, the Rental Beast integration is not currently available for those on CoreHome, or Canadian clients.
How the Integration Works
Rental Beast will automatically be enabled on BoldTrail template websites. A call-to-action button automatically appears on rental listing detail pages in BoldTrail. Prospective renters can click the button to begin the application process with no extra steps required from the agent.
There are two versions of the button, and which one appears is determined automatically based on whether Rental Beast has the listing in their database:
Apply Now: appears when Rental Beast recognizes the listing and the listing agent has opted in. The renter is taken directly to Rental Beast's application flow to complete screening.
Request to Apply: appears when Rental Beast doesn't have the listing on file, or the agent hasn't yet opted in. The renter submits a request, which initiates the process on Rental Beast's end.
In both cases, the interaction is captured as a lead in BoldTrail and associated with the listing agent, so agents gain visibility into renter interest without any manual follow-up. There is no cost to the agent or brokerage; the application fee (approximately $40–$49) is paid by the renter.
How to Enable
The Rental Beast integration is automatically enabled, but can easily be disabled per website in BoldTrail.

FAQ
Is there a cost to the agent or brokerage?
No. There is no cost to the agent or brokerage. The only fee involved is an application fee paid by the renter (approximately $40–$45). Once a renter completes an application, it is reusable for 30 days across any Rental Beast-participating property at no additional charge.
Is the feature available on all websites?
No, Rental Beast is only available on front end BoldTrail template sites, not on WordPress or CoreHome sites.
Can the feature be disabled?
Yes. The "Enable Rental Beast" setting can be toggled off for a website in Web & IDX, under the Listings section.
Does the CTA appear on all rental listings?
Coverage varies by market, and Rental Beast does not currently support all regions. Where a listing is recognized, the CTA will show as either Apply Now or Request to Apply. Where Rental Beast doesn't have coverage, the CTA may not appear.
What is the difference between "Apply Now" and "Request to Apply"?
Both are CTAs that appear on rental listing detail pages, and which one displays is determined by Rental Beast's API, not BoldTrail. Apply Now appears when Rental Beast already has the listing on file and the agent has opted in. Request to Apply appears when Rental Beast does not recognize the listing, or the agent has not yet opted in. Both flows ultimately route the renter through Rental Beast's screening process.
Can the agent or brokerage see the renter's screening results?
No. Screening reports (credit, background, income verification) are routed to the landlord only, not the listing agent. This is by design and consistent with FCRA compliance requirements.
What if an agent has opted out of Rental Beast?
If an agent has opted out, the CTA is hidden entirely for that agent's listings. No API call is made and no renter-facing prompt is shown.
Does a renter have to pay again if they apply to multiple properties?
No. A completed Rental Beast application is reusable for 30 days across any Rental Beast-participating property without an additional fee.
Is this available for Canadian clients?
Not yet. Canada support is planned but requires a separate screening partner on Rental Beast's end. We will communicate availability once it is live.
