[BoldTrail] CCPA - California Consumer Privacy Act

Learn more about the CCPA

Posted 4th August 2026

Many states have enacted privacy laws that apply to certain businesses that collect or receive personal information about state residents. The first of these laws was the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), but over 20 states now have privacy laws that grant individuals rights with respect to personal information collected by businesses subject to those laws.

Four key features in BoldTrail can support our customers' compliance with these laws.

Please Note: Ultimately you are responsible for legal compliance, including compliance with state consumer privacy laws. We recommend that customers consult legal counsel for how state consumer privacy laws may impact their business.

Features

1. The “Export Contact Data” option allows a customer to print or save all information for an individual contact that has been added to the platform.

This data can be exported by entering the contact profile and navigating to the 'More Actions' button. 'Export Contact Data' can be found in the dropdown menu.

2. The “Delete Contact” option allows a customer to “Delete Contact Data”, which will permanently remove all data related to this contact.

This can be accessed from the contact profile and by clicking the 'More Actions' button as well. The "Delete Contact Data" option will be visible in the dropdown menu.

Please Note: If a lead is deleted via this method the data is unable to be recovered.

3. A “Privacy Contact Information” section has been made available in the Web & IDX settings for websites. “State Privacy Policy” information can be included on the Privacy Policy page which can be accessed from the bottom of each BoldTrail website. Customers can specify an email and phone number for consumers to contact you with inquiries related to state consumer privacy laws.

4. We offer a template privacy policy to customers for optional use that reflects general state consumer privacy law trends. Customers are responsible for reviewing and revising the template as needed for their business prior to posting on the website.

In addition to offering these features, we periodically update our terms of service and privacy policy, which apply to our agreement with you. Please review these documents on our website at insiderealestate.com.
