How to Manually Add Testimonials

Testimonials are a great way to show your clients (and potential clients!) just how knowledgeable and amazing you are!

From the 'Testimonials' section of Site Content, click the green '+ Add Testimonial' button on the right side.

Admins Please Note: If you are adding testimonials onto your Office, Team, or another agent's website you'll need to find the correct domain in the dropdown menu from the main Website Settings page.

The testimonials will populate on your website under the 'Your Agent' tab, and then the 'Testimonial' section.

How to Sync Your Zillow Testimonials

The Zillow Reviews connector enables your BoldTrail website to populate your 10 newest Zillow reviews in a widget on your Testimonials page.

From the 'Testimonials' section, you'll select the blue '+ Connect Zillow Reviews' button on the right side. You'll then need to input either the email or username linked to your Zillow account. Simply enter one or the other and click 'Save.'

Please Note: In order for your Zillow reviews to populate you'll need to have at least 1 manually added Testimonial to your BoldTrail site. This is to enable the testimonials tab on your BoldTrail site.

Once you enter a correct email address or screen name for a Zillow account that has reviews attached to it, they will appear on your website's testimonials.php page, on the right-hand side.

Things to Note:

  • The Zillow Reviews Widget will link back to your profile on Zillow.

  • You can connect Zillow reviews to any site, but only one widget per site is possible. Meaning, you cannot combine reviews from multiple users into one widget.

How Clients Can Add Their Own Testimonials

Anytime you want to ask your clients to leave you a testimonial, you can do so by simply sending them to your testimonials page, where they will see a form to fill out at the top of the page.

You can find your testimonials page, from the 'Your Agent' tab on your website. You'll then select 'Testimonials'.

Please Note: You must have manually added testimonials for the testimonial navigation bar to appear.

If you have your testimonials URL (the URL from the testimonials page. E.g. https://delaney.ire.com/testimonials.php), it would be a good idea to create a canned response that you can title 'Request Review' to send out yourself when you close a transaction, or to kick off a 'closed client' smart campaign!

If someone does leave you a review, you can view it from your testimonials control panel in the Site Content section of your BoldTrail dashboard. It will not be published on your site yet as these reviews will not be 'toggled on.'

To show the review on your site update the toggle.

Areas We Cover (SEO Area Pages)

In BoldTrail, you can access 'SEO Area Pages' that allow you to add your own unique content to the different area pages on your BoldTrail website.

The area pages show at the bottom of your site in the footer:

Clicking on any of these areas displays a statistical page full of relevant information. With this feature, you can fill in even more information to make the page unique and relevant depending on your goals.

In general, to accomplish that you can attempt to use a basic SEO technique to specify "keywords" for the page and then fill in content that is relevant to those keywords in a contextual sense. What that means exactly is that if you put a set of keywords separated by commas, those keywords should be relevant to the text on that page. If you list the keywords as such, and then you simply list your keywords again on the page, that will not accomplish anything. You would have to write a paragraph or two, or three of content that is related to the keywords that you list.

From Site Content, select 'Service Areas and SEO' from the lefthand side.

Your list may be empty, so you'll want to populate it with areas from your MLS that you can then customize. You can add individual areas or add all cities in your MLS.

Once you have areas on your list, you can start customizing with keywords and page text.

Keywords: These are the meta tag keywords that you want to be embedded into the page.

To learn more about meta tag keywords click here.

Page Text: This is the content that will appear on the area page. You get to the area page by clicking on the area name at the bottom of your BoldTrail site. This page has all kinds of data and statistics in it already from the MLS. The content you add shows at the top of the page. Since you can embed HTML into this field, you can add almost anything you want. A good example of this would be to give a driving tour of an area or city from your car, upload it to YouTube, and then embed it into this page!

Display Text: If necessary, you may need to change the name of the city or area on your actual BoldTrail website within the 'Areas We Cover' section. This field allows you to do that, typically to correct syntax or spelling errors from the MLS. Here you can see that 'Accord' was the original name, and it was changed to 'D'Accord.'
(D'accord is French for 'agreed' or 'all right')
