Learn how to view, edit, and manage your hashtags in bulk.

Overview

Hashtag management will give you the opportunity to view and edit all hashtags in use in your Smart CRM, allow you to merge hashtags and even mass delete hashtags that you no longer wish to use. Hashtag management makes it easier to mass email/text contacts assigned to a particular tag and provides the tools necessary to fully manage your hashtags.

How to Access Hashtag Management

To access hashtag management first navigate to the 'Marketing' tab from the main navigation. Then click 'View Hashtags' on the 'Hashtag Management' tile.

After entering the Hashtag Management tile, you will first see a complete list of hashtags assigned to the contacts within your CRM.

How to Use Hashtag Management

From the main Hashtag Management screen, you can merge, mass delete, or edit individual hashtags.

Please Note: The hashtags that populate are the tags specific to you as an Agent. You will not be able to edit or view other Agent's tags (even as an Admin). If a contact is shared with you but you are not the assigned Agent you will not have access to those tags in your hashtag manager.

Merge Hashtags

To merge hashtags you'll first select two from the checkbox to the left of each hashtag. Then click the 'Merge Hashtags' button from the top navigation.

A popup will then appear and you can choose the name for the merged hashtags. Once you're satisfied click 'Save'.

Finally, you will need to confirm that you would like to merge the hashtags.

Please Note: Merging hashtags will not update any auto search alerts, smart campaigns, saved filters, or scheduled mass emails using these tags.

Mass Delete Hashtags

To mass delete hashtags from your kvCORE system, you'll first want to select the hashtags you'd like removed using the checkbox to the left of the names. Then click the 'Mass Delete' button at the top.

A popup will appear asking you to confirm that you'd like to delete the selected hashtags. It will show you the total number of hashtags and contacts affected.

Press 'Yes' to remove them from your Smart CRM.

Please Note: Deleting hashtags will not update any auto search alerts, smart campaigns, saved filters, or scheduled mass emails using these tags.

Locked Hashtags

Locked hashtags are tags that cannot be removed (such as #nosyneighbor). These tags will show a lockbox in place of the checkbox on the main Hashtag Management page. As these are locked they cannot be edited.

Playbook Default Hashtags

Playbook default hashtags will show the playbook icon instead of the checkbox and are not eligible to edit.

Managing Individual Hashtags

You can manage an individual hashtag by clicking into them from the main Hashtag Management page.

Please Note: Although you cannot merge or delete locked hashtags or default Playbook hashtags you can click into them and utilize the email, text, and add task features.

You can then see the total number of contacts assigned and manage the hashtag further.

You will have the ability to email, text, or add a task to that particular hashtag.

Email Hashtag

To email the contacts who have that hashtag assigned first select them using the checkboxes to the left of their names.

Please Note: You can select all of the contacts at once using the checkbox at the top next to the 'Name' section.

Then click 'Email Hashtag'.

A popup will then appear so you can write and send your desired email! To learn more about using the advanced email editor, click here.

Text Hashtag

To text the contacts who have that hashtag assigned first select them using the checkboxes to the left of their names.

Please Note: You can select all of the contacts at once using the checkbox at the top next to the 'Name' section.

Then click 'Text Hashtag'.

A popup will then appear so you can write and send your desired text!

Add Tasks to Hashtag

To add a task to the contacts who have that hashtag assigned first select them using the checkboxes to the left of their names.

Please Note: You can select all of the contacts at once using the checkbox at the top next to the 'Name' section.

Then click 'Add Task'.

Edit Hashtag Name

To edit the name of the hashtag you'll want to click the blue 'Edit Hashtag' button to the right.

From there you can choose a new name and press 'Save'.

Remove Contacts From Hashtag

You can easily remove contacts from the hashtag by clicking the checkbox to the left of their name and then selecting 'Remove From Hashtag'

A popup will appear asking you to confirm that you'd like the contacts removed from the hashtag. Then click 'Yes'.

Admin Permissions

Admins will have the same permissions as Agent users. They will not have the ability to edit or manage other Agents' tags.

Frequently Asked Questions

I have a Landing Page/Squeeze Page with a hashtag attached. I've deleted the hashtag from Hashtag Management. If a lead signs up using that link in the future will the hashtag still apply?

Yes. Deleting the hashtag from Hashtag Management does NOT mean that leads cannot have the hashtag in the future. If you have an older Landing/Squeeze Page with a hashtag attached leads will still have that specific hashtag if they register on that page.

I deleted a hashtag. There is a Smart Campaign/Automatic Search Alert/etc trigger I have that uses that specific hashtag. Will the trigger be deleted from the Smart Campaign/Search Alert?

No. You'll need to manually remove the hashtag from those tools as they will not be automatically deleted.
