How to Access Web & IDX - Content

First, hover over the Web & IDX tab from the main navigation on the left. Then select 'Website Content'.

Testimonials

How to Manually Add Testimonials

Testimonials are a great way to show your clients (and potential clients!) just how knowledgeable and amazing you are!

From the 'Testimonials' section Web & IDX - Content, click the green '+ Add Testimonial' button on the right side.

Admins Please Note: If you are adding testimonials onto your Office, Team, or another agent's website you'll need to find the correct domain in the dropdown menu from the main Web & IDX page.

The testimonials will populate on your website under the 'Your Agent' tab, and then the 'Testimonial' section.

How to Sync Your Zillow Testimonials

The Zillow Reviews connector enables your kvCORE website to populate your 10 newest Zillow reviews in a widget on your Testimonials page.

From the 'Testimonials' section, you'll select the blue '+ Connect Zillow Reviews' button on the right side. You'll then need to input either the email or username linked to your Zillow account. Simply enter one or the other and click 'Save.'

Please Note: In order for your Zillow reviews to populate you'll need to have at least 1 manually added Testimonial to your kvCORE site. This is to enable the testimonials tab on your kvCORE site.

Once you enter a correct email address or screen name for a Zillow account that has reviews attached to it, they will appear on your website's testimonials.php page, on the right-hand side.

Things to Note:

  • The Zillow Reviews Widget will link back to your profile on Zillow.

  • You can connect Zillow reviews to any site, but only one widget per site is possible. Meaning, you cannot combine reviews from multiple users into one widget.

How Clients Can Add Their Own Testimonials

Anytime you want to ask your clients to leave you a testimonial, you can do so by simply sending them to your testimonials page, where they will see a form to fill out at the top of the page.

You can find your testimonials page, from the 'Your Agent' tab on your website. You'll then select 'Testimonials'.

Please Note: You must have manually added testimonials for the testimonial navigation bar to appear.

If you have your testimonials URL (the URL from the testimonials page. E.g. https://delaney.ire.com/testimonials.php), it would be a good idea to create a canned response that you can title 'Request Review' to send out yourself when you close a transaction, or to kick off a 'closed client' smart campaign!

If someone does leave you a review, you can view it from your testimonials control panel in the Web & IDX section of your kvCORE dashboard. It will not be published on your site yet as these reviews will not be 'toggled on.'

To show the review on your site update the toggle.

Areas We Cover (SEO Area Pages)

In kvCORE, you can access 'SEO Area Pages' that allow you to add your own unique content to the different area pages on your kvCORE website.

The area pages show at the bottom of your site in the footer:

Clicking on any of these areas displays a statistical page full of relevant information. With this feature, you can fill in even more information to make the page unique and relevant depending on your goals.

In general, to accomplish that you can attempt to use a basic SEO technique to specify "keywords" for the page and then fill in content that is relevant to those keywords in a contextual sense. What that means exactly is that if you put a set of keywords separated by commas, those keywords should be relevant to the text on that page. If you list the keywords as such, and then you simply list your keywords again on the page, that will not accomplish anything. You would have to write a paragraph or two, or three of content that is related to the keywords that you list.

From Web & IDX - Content, select 'Service Areas and SEO' from the lefthand side.

Your list may be empty, so you'll want to populate it with areas from your MLS that you can then customize. You can add individual areas or add all cities in your MLS.

Once you have areas on your list, you can start customizing with keywords and page text.

Keywords: These are the meta tag keywords that you want to be embedded into the page. For more information on meta tag keywords click here.

Page Text: This is the content that will appear on the area page. You get to the area page by clicking on the area name at the bottom of your kvCORE site. This page has all kinds of data and statistics in it already from the MLS. The content you add shows at the top of the page. Since you can embed HTML into this field, you can add almost anything you want. A good example of this would be to give a driving tour of an area or city from your car, upload it to YouTube, and then embed it into this page!

Display Text: If necessary, you may need to change the name of the city or area on your actual kvCORE website within the 'Areas We Cover' section. This field allows you to do that, typically to correct syntax or spelling errors from the MLS. Here you can see that 'Accord' was the original name, and it was changed to 'D'Accord.'
(D'accord is French for 'agreed' or 'all right')

Custom Pages

What Are Custom Pages?

Custom pages are additional pages that you create for your kvCORE website. They can be one of two things.

  1. They can be a link to another page. That means that if someone sees the title of your custom page somewhere on your kvCORE site, and they click on it, they are sent to a URL that you specify.

  2. They can be a page that contains just about any content you want to put into it, that is part of your kvCORE website.

Your custom pages will typically be accessible on your site from your website's main navigation. Either via the 'Resources' tab or if you choose to add it to the main menu (and/or a custom menu).

How to Create Custom Pages

From Web & IDX - Content, select 'Custom Pages' from the menu on the left-hand side.

On the upper right, click '+ New Page.'

Admins Please Note: If you are adding custom pages onto your Office, Team, or another agent's website you'll need to find the correct domain in the dropdown menu from the main Web & IDX page. You can then select 'Custom Pages' from the right side.

After clicking '+ Add Custom Page' the ' New Custom Page ' pop-up will display.

The primary components of this custom page are:

  • Title

  • Content or URL

  • Category

These items control where and how a custom page is shown.

The category is the 'section' under the resources page of your kvCORE website that will contain a list of 'titles.' These titles are clicked on to access your page.

First, hover over 'Resources', then click 'Our Resources' to access the custom pages.

It is possible to add page titles or page categories to your main navigation.

In the screenshot above, you can see both the 'Get Qualified Now' page title as an option that leads to the 'Get Qualified Now' page. Additionally, as well as the 'Trusted Service Providers' navigation option, which is a page category called 'Trusted Service Providers' for the example.

You'll see how to set up your navigation options to showcase your custom pages later in this article.

Looking at the resources page, you can see how the categories and pages are organized. Multiple pages can live under a category of your choosing.

1. Custom Page Category ('Finance' and 'Trusted Service Providers')

2. Custom Page Title ('Get Qualified Now', 'Home Inspectors', and 'Lenders')

You can organize all of your pages into groups that are labeled by your categories.

Please Note: The Resources tab may be hidden using a setting in your Web & IDX website settings. The 'Resources' tab can be relabeled using the 'Resources Label' within your Web & IDX settings.

Custom Page Components

When creating a custom page, each field should be filled out:

  • Title - This is the title of the page as it will show on the 'Resources' page or in the main navigation of your website if you specify it in your website settings (more on that below.)

  • Content or URL - You must choose what this custom page will be. If someone clicks on the title, does it display content, or does it take them to another website?

    • Content - Here you can use the editor to design the content of your custom page. Include text, images, videos, or HTML. To past in HTML content click on the <> icon in the editor to access the source code.

    • URL - Instead of having content displayed on your site you can enter a URL, which will take the visitor to the link that you enter. Make sure it starts with the appropriate https://

  • Category - This is the name of the section the page will be nested under on the 'Resources' page. It will also be used to name the menu item in your main navigation if you choose to specify it in website settings (more on that below.)

  • Slug - This is how the URL will look to access the page. It's generated automatically from the title, and you can edit it additionally if necessary.

  • Meta Tag Description - The literal Meta Tag description for the page. Recommended to be two sentences. If you are not familiar with SEO, simply describe what your page is about using two short sentences.

  • Meta Tag Keywords - The literal meta tag keywords for the page. Recommended as single words separated by commas. If you are not familiar with SEO, just specify a few words that are relevant to the information actually on the page. Do not enter words that are not related (in a contextual sense.) For example, if your page is about Dog Parks near area X, then enter "dog parks, area x"

  • RSS/Property Feed - You can embed an RSS Feed into the space to the right of where the custom page is. This is useful for supplying a news feed that relates to the page you are posting. Just enter the URL of the feed.

    • Where do I get the RSS Feed? - Look for an RSS icon to access the feed URL to copy: You will typically not use an RSS feed unless you know what you want to feed to your Resources page. It's not a requirement for creating a custom page.

    • Add To Child Sites  - This option will add the custom page to the websites under the scope you are working at. Therefore, if you are adding custom pages as an Office Admin, using this option allows you to have the custom page automatically added to all Team and Agent websites in your Office. If you are adding it at the Team level, it will add the custom page to all of the Agent websites in your Team, but it will not go back up the chain and add it to the Office site.

Adding Pages & Categories To Your Main Navigation

After adding your custom pages and categories to your website, you can then attach some of them to the main navigation on your kvCORE website.

This is done in your Web & IDX settings after your pages are added. You cannot set up your navigation options until the pages or categories you want have been created.

To access the custom navigation options click on the Web & IDX tab from the main navigation on the left-hand side. Then click 'Edit Settings'. Once in the website settings choose 'Custom Navigation' from the menu on the left side.

Admins: Remember to check the scope!

Scroll down to find these two options that control your custom content in the main navigation of your site.

  • Select Custom Pages For Navigation - Choose from your custom page titles the ones that you want to display in your main navigation. You can display a maximum of 4 individual pages.

  • Select Categories For Navigation - Choose from the categories that your pages are filed under, which ones you want to display in your main navigation. Categories act as 'menus' and will show all pages in that category when you hover over it. You can display a maximum of 2 categories in your main navigation.

Custom Page: 'Get Qualified Now'

Category: 'Trusted Service Providers'

Please Note: You can have a maximum of 4 custom items. For example, 3 pages and 1 menu. Or 2 pages and 2 menus.

Resetting Your Navigation Options

The 'Use Parent' button for your navigation settings will erase what you entered and reset the setting to whatever your Team or Office site is using for that specific option.

How to Embed a Video Into a Custom Page

From Web & IDX - Content, click 'Custom Pages' on the left side. To create a new custom page click the green '+ New Page' button.

The new custom page pop-up will appear. You'll want to choose a title, category, and begin filling out the content box as you'd like.

To embed a video from YouTube into your blog you'll want to copy the embed code from the video 'Share' section.

Once you've copied your embed code from Youtube you can go back to your custom page and click the source code button (< >) to open the source code box. You can paste the embed code there and click 'Save'.

Your video will then appear in the content of the custom page and can be posted when you're ready by clicking the green 'Save' button on the bottom left!
